My darling boys turn 1!

February 22

My darling baby boys have turned one!  Oh my goodness, what a year it has been.  Twins.  3 babies under 2!  It’s been hectic and busy, and tiring and beautiful and yes, fun!  I am so, so very grateful for everyone who have helped us survive, even thrive this past year.  The list is long.  Our amazing nanny who exudes calm and really truly loves on our babies, my mother, and my mother in law who taken care of the kids numerous times so we could have a break, my nephew who babysat, friends that came to help, hugged me when I cried, made me laugh, emailed and called to check up on us, brought us meals.  I’m grateful for my very wise and caring pediatrician who made house calls, our wonderful local librarian who took Giselle under her wing and gave her extra loving attention, the teachers at Giselle’s playgroup who have helped her blossom, our wonderful neighbors who came and played with the kids.  Strangers at the playground, on the street, in the supermarket who were helpful and understanding.  Just writing this I get teary eyed, thinking of all the big and little kindnesses that have meant so much.  It takes a village is an understatement.  So can I get some sort of whoop whoop??!! We’ve made it through the first year!

Alex and Ryan.  ninja and cowboy.  I love you like crazy.  xoxo mama.

The Newtons

October 25

I’m always thrilled, thrilled, thrilled to the moon when I get the annual call from Sarah or Adam asking if I can come photograph their family.  A few years ago I photographed their beautiful, relaxed wedding on Sarah’s grandfather’s property by the bay, and every year since I’ve been lucky enough to capture this sweet family.

My baby girl.   My first born. I love your funny little ways.  I love the way you run up demanding a “huggie”, then throw yourself upside down like a monkey.  Or how you insist on drinking sparkling water and love peanut stew and rice.  I love watching you run around with your little curls bouncing.  And when you laugh, really laugh, it’s one of the most beautiful sounds I’ve ever heard.  I love you baby girl.  xoxo mama.

Introducing Alex and Ryan

June 19

I’d like to introduce the newest members of our family.

The one below is from the day they were born.  Baby A is Alex and Baby B is Ryan.

A few weeks later.

Last week.  It’s amazing how much they’ve grown already. This is Alex left and right below.

Ryan is on the right below.

And of course a few of the world’s best big sister.

How I love seeing my kids together.

It’s been quite a few months.  I knew this was going to be hard and it has been.  Crazy hard.   Please just let this day end hard.  But it’s also been beautiful and so full of love.

Last year was a time of amazing growth for me.  Growth of our family, growth of my business.   This year, I’m slowing it down a bit to really focus on what’s important to me right now.  My family and work that nourishes me.  I’m excited to start work again.  I love getting to know my clients and creating beautiful images together.  This work feeds those creative parts of me that I need.  I am however going to be taking on less clients through the next year.  I want to focus and makes sure that I have enough time to spend time with my family and still give every client my full attention and very best work.  I do still have a few openings so get in touch if you think we’ll be a good fit.

I can’t wait for all the adventures ahead.  xoxo Jennifer
